Please note these services are only provided for patients of Trinity Medical Centre / Sandal Castle Medical Centre.

Some services we provide are not covered under our contract with the NHS and may incur additional charges. These include, but are not limited to, medical reports for insurance companies, letters of support, forms that require a doctors signature, employment medical forms.

If you have any questions about these charges, please feel free to contact our admin team, who handle the processing of these reports.

We aim to complete all medical reports within 14-28 working days of recieving the request, depending on the complexity of the report. We cannot give a definitate completion date for reports, Most GPs have a very heavy workload and paperwork takes up an increasing amount of their time.  In addition non-NHS work must be undertaken outside of NHS contracted time.
When GPs complete a report, it is a condition of remaining on the Medical Register that they only sign what they know to be true. In order to complete any form, the doctor needs to check the patient’s record thoroughly. Careless or inaccurate reports can have serious consequences for the doctor, including by the GMC or even the police. The charges reflect the time required to check a patient’s record and/or the degree of responsibility involved in signing the document.
Non-NHS work requires GPs to step away from their usual NHS duties, often adding extra hours to their day. Processing these requests involves multiple steps and teams, and the time required is often underestimated. The BMA provides suggested fees for non-NHS work, which falls outside of a GP’s NHS contract, to help GPs determine appropriate professional fees. However, these fees are guidelines only, not mandatory rates, and doctors are not obligated to charge the suggested amounts. For more information on this, please visit the BMA website here.

Fees for Patient Paid Reports

Payment must be made before the service is undertaken.

Accepted method of payment include: Bank transfer / Cash / Card. All non NHS work is charged in line with British Medical Association Guidelines.

  • Capacity Assesments
  • Occupational Health Report
  • Blue Badge Requests
  • Sign passport or verify personal documents or identity
  • Unfitness for Jury Service
  • Fitness to travel, fly, excercise, participate in events
  • Letters for VISA applications
  • Letters of support for PIP/Job Centre
